Startup Arena

What: Startup Arena is a competition where about 20 startups will pitch and challenge for US$10,000 in cash. Only one will be able to walk away with the check.

Who: We are looking for startups in Asia to launch their startup at Startup Asia Singapore. If you’re interested, kindly fill in and submit the form to us, below.

Rules: We prefer startups which are new, struggling, and unknown but with a brilliant product to demo at Startup Asia. Yes, demo is a must and pitch must be in English. We will provide a week-by-week training to help you perfect your pitch. Click for all 19 pitches at our previous Startup Arena competition. Even though the deadline is March 19, submit your startup as soon as possible. This will give you more time to prepare for Arena. For accepted startups, we don’t pay for your airfare and accommodation. But entrance to Startup Asia is free of course.

Prizes: US$10,000 for the winning startup

  • Invitation to Global Brain’s annual GBAF event with free airline tickets and accommodation for two people from the winning company. Global Brain will also introduce 2 major Japanese corporations who are part of its network to the winning Arena startup.
  • Top winner to receive a complimentary mini booth at GMIC at Beijing in May 7 and 8
  • Top 3 winners to receive a pair of full conference tickets to GMIC in Beijing in May 7 and 8

Judges (Alphabetical order):

  • Andrew Collins, CEO at Mailman Ventures
  • Jeffrey Paine, founding partner at Golden Gate Ventures
  • Nobuaki Kitagawa, CEO at CyberAgent Ventures (Beijing) Co., Ltd
  • Yasuhiko Yurimoto, founder, president, and CEO at Global Brain

You can find out more about them here.

Submission deadline: March 19 (Tuesday)

Note: Startups who haven’t received a reply two weeks after submission are likely considered out. There are hundreds of application so there’s no way for us to reject all of them one by one. We hope you understand.
